Words cannot describe how much I am dying to see this.I've been following this movie for a while now and it looks absolutely insane.

Synopsis:
Based on the epic Graphic Novel by Frank Miller "300" is a ferocious retelling
of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler)
and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian
army.Facing insurmountable odds,their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece
to unite against the Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy.
The Film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining
live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.

Looks good but I have a feeling that it is going to be ruined by some stupid love story in the midst of all the violence... Stupid Hollywood...

I would have no problem sitting through any sappy love story theme if it meant seeing body piles this size...(is that wrong?)

In his video journal on the website, Production Designer, Jim Bissell, says it's operatic and abstract and not historically accurate... that they took a lot of liberties w/ the history as we know it.

This movie is like soft porn for women or something. Look at all those bare chests and ancient speedos. Disgusting.

Well as far as I know the Spartans never actually wore body armor except for head gear so looking at it historically it's the correct thing to depict on the screen,and I have the feeling this movie is going to be very graphic and very violent..not leaving alot of room for any sort of "hey look at my nipples and heaving chest" moments.

@lakatz,I am hoping (to no end) that this movie is stylistic and abstract,god im dying to see something original,if not in theme, then in visualization,y'know?

Yeah, I hear the artist or art lover in you. Frank Miller IS a graphic novelist after all. Have you seen Sin City yet? He co-directed that himself with Robert Rodriquez, one of my favorite directors. I haven't seen it yet, but I put it on my Netflix queue when I first read your post about 300.
